Design Engineer (CAD package - SolidWorks)
Location – Peterborough
Salary – Circa £30,000
Our client is a market leading and following continued success in their field are in need of highly skilled design engineers with the following experience. As every component is designed in-house - from curtains, buckles, webbing restraints, doors, pressings to welded structural beams – therefore a thorough understanding of mechanical design is required.
Suitable candidates will benefit from -
A minimum of HND.
Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous.
Proficient is 3D Modeling using Solidworks
Modeling & Detailing
Design and redesign on new and old products
Other duties will include(but of course not be limited to)
1 – Sales presentation drawings.
2 – Sales support on costing and pricing and maybe design of special requirements.
3 – Assisting in product design and development.
4 – Answering shop floor queries and problem solving.
5 – Jig and Tool design, a area where his past experience should prove of value.
6 – Whole Vehicle Type approval accreditation.
