We have a short term requirement for an Autodesk Inventor 3D modeller (2011) / detailer to take design data (supplied as SketchUp models and AutoCAD drawing files) and prepare 3D Inventor models and associated manufacturing drawing pack to our Customer specification.
Contract expected to last approx 3-4 weeks. Immediate start. Location to be agreed with Customer — may be at their premises (Hull, Humberside) or our design studio (Chatteris, Cambridgeshire).
Consequently the rate is also to be confirmed — this contract may be on a ‘fixed price’ or ‘per hour’ basis.
Own licence of Inventor 2011 isn’t essential.
Proficient use of Inventor 2011, from a modelling and production drawing / detailing perspective, with parametric control is essential.
General mechanical knowledge with an understanding of timber construction in the building / construction industry advantageous.
This is not a design orientated task but it is envisaged that some detail finishing will be necessary. Standard fixings and brackets may need to be internet sourced.
This position demands an ability to self – check, to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel whilst being happy to work alone or as part of a small team. Good organisational skills required.
