Instructions / Queries

What can we print in 3D?

Just about any part that is within the maximum dimensions that our machine can print.  Please submit your parts individually, as we can't print entire assembly models from a single file.  Of course, you can submit several parts to us and complete your own assembly model.

What dimensions and colours of parts can be printed?

We can print in 16 micron layers and 30 micron layers with a printing area of X= 250mm, y= 250mm and Z= 200mm.

Parts can be printed in a variety of standard colours.  Please check your selection using the pulldown menu, when submitting the form.

Which file formats are supported?

Please ensure you send us 3D solid models from an application that saves in one of the formats below.  Please note that we're unable to quote from 2D pictures or screen shots.

Supported file types
  • Inventor 2010 (*.ipt, *.iam)
  • Catia V5 (*.CATPart, *.CATProduct)
  • IGES (*.igs, *.ige, *.iges)
  • Parasoild Text Files (*.X_T)
  • Pro/E (*.prt*, *.asm*)
  • Pro/E Granite (*.g)
  • Pro/E Neutral (*.neu*)
  • SAT (*.sat)
  • STEP (*.stp, *.ste, *.step)
  • SolidWorks (*.prt, *.sldprt, *.asm, *.sldasm)
  • UGS NX (*.prt)

For multiple files please ZIP before uploading as a single file.

The 3D printing process uses *.stl format. You can save your files in this format but please ensure sure they are high resolution.  Obviously, poor resolution stl files will produce poor models.  If you send us the 3D solid file (in a format from the list above) we can convert to stl.

Upload your model now for a free quotation.
