Solidworks CAD Engineer (with own license)

£20 - £25 per hour

Our St Neots based client is looking for a very competent Solidworks Engineer to join their busy team. Working under the guidance and direction of the Design Manager from provided conceptual designs (sometimes 3D other times from freehand sketches), the candidate will need to prepare the 3D model (if not already provided), assembly drawings and detailed part drawings for manufacture.

Candidate ‘Must haves’ –

  • Mechanical modelling and detailing experience using Solidworks 2011
  • Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical (electronic packaging, sheet metal, machining from solid aluminium, PCB — Printed Circuit Boards)
  • Design/ detailing 
  • Own Solidworks license

This is a contract roll with a view to start immediately and lasting an initial 4 weeks — with possible extension.
