Control Panel Builder
Are you an experienced Control Panel Builder looking for a hands-on, high-quality engineering role?
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented electrical engineer to work on low-voltage control panels for complex, bespoke machinery — no mass production, just craftsmanship and precision.
The Job
You’ll be part of a small, skilled electrical team responsible for building and wiring custom control panels for automated machinery.
The work involves assembling, wiring, and testing a wide range of panel types, including junction boxes, MCCs, HMI enclosures, and multi-door cabinets.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and wire low-voltage control panels (110–600V AC / 24V DC)
- Install and terminate relays, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and control devices
- Work from schematics, layouts, and bills of materials
- Carry out continuity testing and visual inspection
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
- Collaborate with electrical, design, and test engineers
The Person
- Good experience in electrical panel building
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings
- Skilled in wire selection, crimping, ferrule termination, and cable routing
- Knowledge of AC and DC control systems
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Confident using hand and power tools safely
