Join a well-established UK engineering manufacturer producing bespoke industrial machinery and contribute to the assembly, wiring, and testing of complex systems.

This is a versatile, hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys machine wiring, functional testing, and troubleshooting across a variety of electrical systems.

The Job:

You’ll work as part of a skilled team, building and testing complete electrical systems across machinery, including sensors, motors, actuators, and interconnects.
You’ll also assist with on-site machine installations, factory electrical upgrades, and support cross-department integration activities.

  • Wire and connect complete electrical systems across machinery
  • Carry out functional testing, I/O checks, and fault-finding
  • Read and work from electrical schematics, layout drawings, and BOMs
  • Assist with factory electrical tasks, including lighting circuits and equipment upgrades
  • Support new machinery installations and improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments during assembly and integration
  • Maintain safe, organised, and high-quality working practices

The Person:

  • Practical experience in machine wiring or industrial electrical assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring documentation
  • Experience with control devices, drives, sensors, motors, DOL and VFD configurations
  • Confident in troubleshooting electrical faults during build and testing
  • Flexible and adaptable between workshop and on-site tasks
  • Strong team working skills and high attention to workmanship quality

The Package:

  • Standard 39-hour week, Monday – Friday
  • Overtime available at enhanced rates
  • Competitive pay dependent on experience – Up to £20 per hour
