Engineering Estimator
Full-time | Office-based (flexible working available)
Are you an experienced Engineering Estimator with a passion for precision, problem-solving, and supporting innovative equipment projects? We’re looking for a skilled individual to join a dynamic Sales and Estimating Team, providing detailed quotations and technical sales support for bespoke food processing systems and related installation and service solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates and quotations for engineering equipment and systems, using standard templates and spreadsheets.
- Source and include third-party or partner equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of quotations and client details within internal databases and CRM systems.
- Help develop and streamline the company’s estimating and quotation processes, identifying opportunities for improved tools or software.
- Manage and follow up on sales enquiries, liaising with team members where required.
- Process internal sales orders and coordinate details with departments such as Accounts and Projects.
- Provide technical information and support to clients, including lead times and equipment specifications.
Ideal Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering estimating environment, ideally within machinery or systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel (advanced), Word, Outlook, and Access.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (such as HubSpot or similar).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the business and with external clients.
- Confidence in evaluating and recommending proposal or estimating software to improve workflow.
Working Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm - Friday: 8:30am–4:00pm
- Flexible working may be available by arrangement.
