Mechanical Contracts Manager

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to take ownership of multiple installation and maintenance projects from pre-contract stage through to final account.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong commercial awareness, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical installation and maintenance projects from inception to completion
- Undertake site surveys, contract reviews, estimating, and quotation preparation
- Coordinate project delivery, resources, subcontractors, and site teams
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, RAMS, and CDM requirements
- Control project costs, variations, and commercial performance
- Attend client meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Produce accurate project reporting and contribute to resource planning
About You
Essential:
- Proven experience in mechanical contracting and project management
- Strong commercial and cost-control awareness
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive approach to project delivery and client satisfaction
Desirable:
- Engineering qualification
- SMSTS and/or IOSH certification
