You’ll be joining a small design team and you won’t just be a number on the employment register - instead you’ll be a valued, and vital, engineer developing new products and extending the range of equipment the business is known for throughout the world.
This is a multi-skilled design role and will suit an experienced design engineer who wants to learn as well as apply their knowledge, providing valuable mentoring to your colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating 3D CAD Models and 2D detailed manufacturing / assembly drawings
- Creating technical documentation, such as manuals
- R&D and continuous improvement projects to ensure all products are reliable and durable
- Functional testing, reliability testing and user trials
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic designer, with excellent attention to detail and a flair for creative problem solving. Mentoring less experience designer, without the supervisory burden, is expected along with a positive, friendly, professional attitude.
We are looking for a candidate who is:
- Degree Educated in a relevant engineering discipline
- Excellent 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks experience preferred)
- In depth understanding of draughting practice including tolerancing
- Sound Knowledge of MRP, BOM’s and product data management systems
