Our client are currently looking for a new member of staff to join their engineering team. As a project support manager, you will be ensuring customer satisfaction and managing technical (sometimes complex) projects from inception to completion.
Our client are leading, industry recognised specialists in mechanical and electrical solutions. They offer a comprehensive range of mechanical services for both new build and refurbishment projects. They provide invaluable knowledge and experience, working in partnership with our clients throughout every stage of the process, from design, manufacturing and installation through to testing, inspection and maintenance.
This position is for a Mechanical Engineer keen to broaden, update and acquire new skills or an experienced Engineering Manager who can apply their skills to a rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide vital support functions to the Mechanical director
- Undertake work for key clients, primarily in the food sector
- This role is a combination of sales support, estimating and project management. It is hands on and will involve regular visit to customer sites.
- The correct applicant will be involved with the whole project management cycle, from sale to installation and aftercare of simple to complex processing machinery
- Ability to prepare and manage technical documentation
- Manage contractors, and sub-contractors throughout various stages of a project.
- 2D AutoCad Drafting skills and advantage
Person Specification:
- Mechanical Engineer (Degree, HNC or HND qualifications preferred but not essential)
- Keen to learn and develop with the team
- Excellent IT Skills, professional manner and attention to detail.
- Electrical Knowledge, although not essential, would be an advantage
Salary of up to £40,000 DOE
