Recruitment Executive (salary DOE)

Could this be you?

Does the idea of matchmaking appeal to you? Finding the right person to match the right role? Making people cry (with happiness) when you make them a job offer? If so, then this niche recruitment role might just float your boat!

Maybe you’ve been in a resourcing role and you have some recruitment experience already. Or maybe you’ve been an office manager or an administrator with some involvement in recruitment. If you didn’t run away screaming from the hard work and administration involved in recruiting then maybe, just maybe, this is the job you didn’t know you wanted.

About the role

So, this is a little unusual in that it’s not part of a recruitment team. That means you’ll be a department of one and you’ll be responsible for everything. That could be bad – no one to delegate to – but good because hey, no commission sharing! It also means that the recruitment department will be yours to shape and grow – this isn’t a micro-managed role by any means!

If you fancy the idea of this standalone recruiting role, you’ll be getting involved in things like:

  • Looking after existing clients and holding their hands (metaphorically!) through their recruitment campaigns;
  • Spotting possible opportunities, identifying new clients and contacting them, negotiating rates and attending on-site visits;
  • Hand-holding (yes, also metaphorically) all candidates, reviewing their applications, giving them feedback and organising interviews;
  • Helping to market the business, including using social media to create and post job adverts;
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legislative changes;
  • Keeping the CRM system up to date.

About You

You’ll have a good level of education and a strong administrative background. If you’ve worked in recruitment before that would be ideal but it’s not essential – we’re happy to teach you the skills you need. What you need to bring to this role is a real desire to find the right people to match roles, a willingness to contact potential clients and candidates (phone, email, LinkedIn), a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Above all, you’ll be tenacious and ready for a challenge every day of the week. If you know anything at all about IR35 regulations, we’ll love you forever (but again, we can tell you what you need to know).
