Senior Sports Design Technician (Revit / Civil / BIM)

Senior Sports Design Technician (Revit / Civil / BIM)

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
Location: Bingley, West Yorkshire Hybrid working considered
Type: Permanent

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist consultancy delivering sports facilities and field-of-play infrastructure projects ranging from grassroots developments to internationally recognised elite venues.

This role is suited to a Senior Revit / BIM Technician or Civil Design Technician who wants to take ownership of detailed technical design packages, play a key role in model coordination, and work on technically complex, non-standard projects.

The position is hands-on and model-led, with clear progression into Senior Designer, Design Manager or Project Lead roles.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Revit Delivery

  • Lead the production of Revit-based technical drawings and models including plans, sections, details and schedules.
  • Deliver coordinated design packages from concept through construction.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency and buildability across all outputs.
  • Contribute to resolving complex technical design challenges.

BIM & Model Coordination

  • Coordinate federated BIM models using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Manage information exchange, clash resolution and quality control processes.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects and specialist consultants to ensure coordinated outputs.

Civil & Sports Infrastructure Design

  • Support the design of sports surfaces, substructures, drainage, levels and associated civil works.
  • Contribute to value engineering and constructability reviews.
  • Provide technical input during later project stages as required.

Team & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide informal mentoring and technical support to junior technicians and graduates.
  • Coordinate directly with project leads, consultants and contractors.
  • Contribute to design reviews, presentations and technical discussions.

The Person

Essential

  • Background in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 4–6 years’ experience using Revit and AutoCAD / Civil 3D on live projects.
  • Strong experience working in BIM environments, including model coordination and documentation.
  • Proven ability to deliver detailed technical design packages, not just concept layouts.
  • High attention to detail and strong QA mindset.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience on sports facilities, stadiums, infrastructure or complex external works projects.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary design coordination.
  • Confidence working directly with consultants and contractors.
